Opinions on a hotel in Cedar Point area

I've stayed at all the CP resorts and the Lighthouse Point cottages were by far the best. Although Breakers is more convienently located and much cheaper, the cottages have the lake view decks, seperate rooms, grill, etc.

 

Sandcastle was nice, but it is a very long walk to the nearest park entrance. I stayed at the Holidome as well, and is probably the best off-point stay, considering price and things to do there.

This was going to be my next question. We managed to get a pretty good deal for the Holidome. Indoor pool is pretty important for husband, I could care less. The cost of Breakers and such and the benifit of early entry wouldnt be used by us we just dont rise early enough to make it worth while, plus for our week(just before July 4th weekend) its close to 200 a night. So Holidome it is. I am happy about it so far.

The 3 times I've gone to CP I've always stayed at the Holiday Inn Express over in Port Clinton ( about 10 minutes west ofCP) and I don't have a bad thing to say about this hotel. Breakers Express does sound good, especially for the early entry.
