OK, so I might be going to Six Flags Over Georgia on opening day, and I'd like some advice about the best way to do the park even though I know it'll be rammed.

I know that Goliath will be the big draw, and after I get my season pass I intend to ride that first. But what should I do after that?

Any tips on dining, and the most popular rides would be great. Thanks!

Great American Scream Machine and Mindbender are definitely not to be missed. Monster Plantation is also very unique but can have very long lines due to low capacity. If the line isn't crazy long, make sure to ride it too!

Make sure that you get a Qbot! It will become your very best friend. Also get there at least 30 mins before the park opens, they sometimes open both the Georgia Cyclone and the Georgia Scorcher a little early. Deja Vu has the worst capacity at the park, so you may want to try to do that as early as possible as well. As well as Wile E. Coyote's Canyon Blaster (kiddie coaster, but a credit). In terms of non-coaster rides, Julie is right, Monster Plantation does have long lines. Was Goliath going to be open on the first day? For some reason I thought Meida Day was March 31, and opening day for the public April 1. Maybe they will have a soft opening, that would be great. Does anyone know if you can reserve a Qbot before you get there? They have a Panda Express there which is pretty good fast food type Chinese Food. It is located near the center of the park (probably near Goliath now).

Any more questions just ask away!

Leanne with a Qbot. Qbot is your best friend at SFoG.

^Media Day is on March 30th!

Since you are going on opening day of Goliath you will want to make sure that you get a Qbot, if you have the extra money get the Gold Qbot. You might not be able to use the Qbot on Goliath since it is opening day for ride. If I remember correctly you couldn't use the Qbot on Deja-vu the day it open back in 2001. There is new restaurant where the DJ's Dinner use to be, I think they serve barbeque.

Rides that you can't miss are:

Goliath

Acro

GASM

Mindbender

Superman

Georgia Cyclone (back seat)

Georgia Scorcher

Deja-vu

OK, just to throw something out there:

On April 1, I HIGHLY DOUBT the park will open the front sections early. They will, however, have the park open an hour early for Season Pass Holders. The same applies for that entire week up through 4.9 (cough Erik cough )

You can no-longer pre-register for a Q-bot online. But, if Tom's season pass is going to be from SFOG, he will have coupons to rent the Q-bots for free (still gotta pay the per person fee).

I still say to anyone who is going this year that they should ride Deja vu first! Take advantage of the new ride!

The new resteraunt, Daddy-O's, is not replacing Dee Jays. Dee Jays is getting a masive overhaul, but Daddy-O's is replacing Eating Time.

Something that may be of use, a quick promotional guide to the park, including this years map:

It was the walk-up place adjacent to Dee Jays:

On the right side, between the USA sign and the caricatures place (which was next to Attitudes)

I didn't eat there much myself, but I did like their cookies.

Just to give you an idea of how big Daddy O's is going to be, it will take up the entire Eating Time building, the massage parlor and extend out almost as far as the Virtual Reality thing (which is also gone now). It will have a pretty dang big seating area...

I guess we will really have to try to get up there that first week in April then!

Too bad I am unable to buy a season pass online because I live over 300 miles away from the Atlanta area. Maybe they will have the Pass Processing area open even earlier. Or maybe we will make 2 days out of our visit, that is an idea.
