galaga-girl Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Hey guys I come to this site pretty often but for some reason have only just registered. I love the vids and photo's and they keep me happy when I can't travel to theme parks. I'm from Australia and the pickings are pretty slim here, I don't like our theme parks so generally try to get to America once a year, usually Florida but also Cal as well. I am almost always travelling by myself mainly because my family and friends don't get why I love theme parks so much and it is tiresome trying to explain myself all the time. BTW, i'm 25. As I said, i'm from Australia and we do not have Halloween here at all! I've always been so jealous of you guys in the US having such an awesome holiday that I want to take one of my sisters and her son (he will be 4 at the time of travel) to WDW this October. I am wondering what the Halloween nights are like? I know that Universal will be out of the question for such a small child (which I am bummed about) but i've never been with a "little" kid before, i've taken my 13yo sister three times though. Basically i'm interested in any info at all about the Halloween nights at WDW, when do they generally start and how crowded are the parks in October? I've only ever made trips during September to take advantage of the very low crowds. Thanks for any info and I hope i've posted this in the right forum!!
Erik Johnson Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Yeah The Magic Kingdom has Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party during October. It is a seperate priced event in which they close the Maigc Kingdom to everyone except those who have a ticket for this special event. It is the perfect event for children as well as us big kids. I believe it started at around 7PM and ended around 12 or 1 AM. They limit the crowds so all the big attractions only have about a 5 to 10 minute wait maximum. Plus they have a special Halloween parade as we as a very cool edition of its Wishes fireworks display (which I find to be better than the normal version). I highly recommend it. You are right, I would not recommend Universal's Halloween Horror Nights to anyone under the age of 13, it is just too intense. Here are a couple of links to some photos that were taken at the last year's Halloween Theme Park Review meet: http://www.themeparkreview.com/orlando2005/halloween/mnsshp/mnsshp1.htm Also Here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19929&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=10 Welcome to Theme Park Review!
