  1. Thanks I really love America, this is my 4th trip and my 3rd trip to Orlando. People keep asking me why I keep coming back and not go elsewhere, it is so cheap to travel around America, the people are awesome and I always feel 100% safe especially when I am travelling alone. You guys have a great country!!
  2. When I was there with my sister, a single rider joined us on Men in Black. I love single rider lines, esp at Mission: Space in Disney, sometimes the wait there can be horrendous and I love watching peoples faces as you slip right past them!!
  3. Mine was Duelling Dragons at Islands of Adventure - I think I screamed a years worth of screams
  4. Thanks guys, i've decided to do it. If I can do Disney solo I can do Universal, I love the parks and don't want to miss out again (I missed them last year) I've booked a room at the Hard Rock Hotel for 3 nights prior to my Disney only portion of the trip.
  5. I guess it is just a fear. I was like it when I first did Disney solo. You just never know how welcome you are going to be as a single traveller. I'm sure that they are no different than the Disney parks, it is just that the CM's at WDW are great, I never have a problem finding someone to chat with, I didn't have that much interaction with the staff at Universal.
  6. I've been to WDW in Orlando a few times as a solo visitor. As I travel all the way from Australia it is hard to get others to save enough money to come with me. This trip i'd like to go back to Universal Studios and IOA, but i've only ever done these parks with others. Anyone got any advice for doing them solo?? They are so different from the parks at Disney i'm just not sure if I want to do them alone. I'll be in Orlando from the 16th of Sept till the 2nd of October.
  7. Movie World here in Australia sucks! There is so much hype around it but once you're in there is practically nothing there. Sure they have two pretty good coasters - the Lethal Weapon and Scooby Doo but it has no soul. We were there for 20mins and my 13yo sister looked at me and said "This sucks, can we go back to Disneyland??" There are characters there from Warner Bros and they are so ghetto! OMG, I almost died laughing when I saw Marvin Martian, his costume looked like something from a second hand clothing store. There are next to no food outlets and there are just big empty spaces all over the park.
  8. Hey guys I come to this site pretty often but for some reason have only just registered. I love the vids and photo's and they keep me happy when I can't travel to theme parks. I'm from Australia and the pickings are pretty slim here, I don't like our theme parks so generally try to get to America once a year, usually Florida but also Cal as well. I am almost always travelling by myself mainly because my family and friends don't get why I love theme parks so much and it is tiresome trying to explain myself all the time. BTW, i'm 25. As I said, i'm from Australia and we do not have Halloween here at all! I've always been so jealous of you guys in the US having such an awesome holiday that I want to take one of my sisters and her son (he will be 4 at the time of travel) to WDW this October. I am wondering what the Halloween nights are like? I know that Universal will be out of the question for such a small child (which I am bummed about) but i've never been with a "little" kid before, i've taken my 13yo sister three times though. Basically i'm interested in any info at all about the Halloween nights at WDW, when do they generally start and how crowded are the parks in October? I've only ever made trips during September to take advantage of the very low crowds. Thanks for any info and I hope i've posted this in the right forum!!
