I knowand share lots of complaints about the SLC.

However, there is alot to cry about the Pinfari 42 which is a neck killer.

This coaster hurts so bad that I don't even think about riding it anymore.

So what do you think is worse ?

There's some really good and really bad examples of both rides.

Best ZL42 I've been on would be the one at Brighton Pier which was really smooth and well kept.

Worst ones would be Gauntlet at Camelot, and Klondike at Hayling Island.

Best Vekoma SLC I've been on is Blue Tornado at Gardaland.

Worst Vekoma SLCs would be El Condor at Walibi World, and Odyssey at Fantasy Island.

My first non-kiddie coaster was a Pinfari 42 that came with a fair. Very intense coaster, but unfortunately too rough to enjoy.

I have only been on 2 SLC's. The first one was Tizona @ Terra Mitica in 2003. I thought it was a very enjoyable ride, but I wouldnt bee surprised if it has gotten rougher now. The soft padding on the restraints probably helped alot.

The other one was Blue Tornado @ Gardaland last summer, which was pretty bad. I wont say it was painfull, but it definately wasnt comfortable. The only smooth part was the extra helix.

I don't think either are that bad but I have only been on one of each (Python at Ocean City, NJ and Great Noreaster at Morey's). On the Pinfari, I don't think it's really rough if you sit in the last row. The OTSR's can sometimes hurt though.
