USRoadTripper Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Is there any easy way to make a link that will direct you to a certain post within a thread? I wanna create links to all my posts in my WDW TR, but am not sure how to do it. Wanting to do something like what Robb did with the first page of his Europe TR thread. -Julie
benzo41190 Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 I think all you do is make Hyperlinks. Go to say page 7 and copy the adress. Then make a hyperlink to that specific page. Name the hyperlink like "day 2" and it will direct you to page 7.
USRoadTripper Posted December 19, 2005 Author Posted December 19, 2005 Right, but that is directing me to an entire page of posts. I want to be able to link to a specific post inside that page. That way when you click the link, that post will automatically show up at the top of the page, and not make people scroll through replies to find the post I am directing them to. -Julie
WillMontu Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Like this? Copy and paste the URL for the page that your post is on, and then add # and the post number to the end of the URL. To get the post number, hover your mouse cursor over the "Quote" button, and you will see the post number in the status bar (look for the six digit number at the end of the link). In the example above, the post number of 103397
USRoadTripper Posted December 19, 2005 Author Posted December 19, 2005 That looks perfect! Thanks for the help! -Julie
AznShortBoi8021 Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 You can just right click on the white or orange paper thing next to the "Posted: Sun Dec 18" or something like that. Its on the top of every post. Then click Copy Shortcut. Then paste it where you want to paste it.
