pgathriller Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 I just bought zoo tycoon 2 and it said that I needed 258mb of syestem storage to play it and I only have 128mb. How can I get 258mb without buying anything? I have a Windows XP. Please help!
ParkTrips Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Without buying anything? Duh, steal a 256 meg card!
Carnage Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 258 megs for what? Are you sure that didn't mean hard drive space? In which you should have plenty. Windows takes up alot more space then 128 megs, so obviously that's not your problem. CAn't mean 256 megs of ram, as WinXP wouldn't run on 128 megs or ram(without being slow as hell). I'm thinking you misunderstood the requirements. Just try installing it and running it. Edit: I checked the requirements for the game. It's 256 megs of ram. If you really only have 128 megs or ram, go buy more ram. There's nothing you can do to get more without buying more. And if you are trying to run WinXP on 128 megs then you should be buying more ram regardless.
ShoubraStreet74 Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 Yeah, XP will run with 128mb, but it won't be good for games. Since RAM is a hardware component, there's no way to "add" more without buying it and installing it. So if you do decide to buy more RAM make sure that you are buying the correct type (correct number of pins, speed, type, etc.). It would be a good idea to pick up as much as you can, you can get 512mb for not alot of money, (under $40 if you look for a good deal). I have had experience running games with 128mb, 384mb, and (currently) 1GB, and as far as I can tell, upgrading to 256mb or 512mb should be more than enough to run zoo tycoon fairly well. But my question is this, if you have bought the game, have you installed it and tried it yet with your current 128mb? It may actually work reasonably and be playable. Good Luck.
