coasterdude5 Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Hey Robb, just wondering, how do you get all the coaster news so quickly? Is it just by friends or is there like a "coaster alert" email process. Just curious. Thanks!
robbalvey Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I'm not sure really. There are actually some stories that I find before other sites, and some stories that I find days later. I do a google news search all the time for stuff "Amusement Park" "Theme Park" etc. "Roller Coaster" is bad to search for because you wind up with 1000 "X company stock was a roller coaster ride today...." matches! You basically just scour the internet for news! --Robb
Guest Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 We do that for ITL as well Robb. We may have 70 stories a day and maybe 15 work out to be actual stories worth reporting. I hate when google throws out those companies go for roller coaster ride. That so SUCKS. A lot of people watch for park announcements. A lot of the time they are known about way ahead of time for us to wait for. Other than that, reading the net gets you far anymore. Katie
coasterdude5 Posted November 19, 2005 Author Posted November 19, 2005 Thanks, I figured you found them on your own, but the other day I thought you said "I received the press release" so that's why I asked. Google News came up with 2,100 news articles, on coasters! Now it all makes sense!
