rollermonkey Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 Has anybody been to the parks in Genting Highlands? There is one medium sized and one indoor park there, and I am trying to figure out if I can go there during a 24 hour layover at Kuala Lumpur airport. If I can't, I'll hit the two indoor parks in KL itself. Robb, you're pretty well travelled, how about you? Chris B
Louise Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 I knew nothing about the place but did a bit of research on the net after I read your first post... Came up with a bit of information about number of rides etc but probably nothing more than you already know, I've certainly never been there. I'm guessing you've probably visited the sites already but... If you want the links feel free to PM me.
robbalvey Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 I'll move this to the Donkey board since we've never been there. But if you go and get on that indoor Intamin coaster we want lots of pictures!!! --Robb
rollermonkey Posted October 26, 2005 Author Posted October 26, 2005 Ooh, my first moved post! I feel so special! Thanks, Robb Chris B (I'm sort of unoficially using RCDB as my online home for photos, but maybe I can work my RCT TR's and my photos together here. Maybe I'll try a vid, but I can only use my regular digital camera for that.)
gr81 Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Hi I just saw your post and although its probably a bit late I have been to a few of the parks around Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. It would take you about 2-3 hours to get to genting from KL international. So if you have a whole day its possible but its going to be a long day. Its the weirdest park I have ever been to. the main coaster is not great but the fact that the whole park is on a 2km high mountain makes it very unusual as when riding the Corkscrew you have views overlooking the clouds down below. There is another indoor park Downtown in KL which is about an hr or so from the airport. Head to the Shopping Mall called Time Square. there is a multi level indoor park there with a large coaster and multiple smaller rides. Its spooky watching the whole coaster structure sway indoors after each use just adds to the experience I guess I'd love to hear what you thought of these rides if you got the chance
