SonOfBeastSucks Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 I have never had a video camera before and am thinking about getting one to film parks, do pov, etc, etc, etc... anyway, I have a maximum of $500 to spend. What is the best camera for this price range?
ParkTrips Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 There are a few nice cameras, but in the end its all about personal preference. I love Canon cameras, so I personally would recomend the Canon ZR 200. They make a 300 model but it runs about $100 extra and its basically the same camera except the 300 can zoom an extra "2x" and it comes with an 8 meg card. That's not worth the extra money in my opinion. But.. as much as I like Canon there is something to be said about how much you actually like the camera. A lot of companys are producing good cameras (Panasonic and Sony are good as well) but you have to like the camera. Go to the store and take into consideration which one you would feel comfortably carrying around, which one is easy for you to use (Sony's can be tricky sometimes, though my Canon stillframe isn't too simple either). eh, I guess that's all I have to say, though I can leave you with a joke: "That's MY sex box and her name is Sony" - Joe
SonOfBeastSucks Posted October 9, 2005 Author Posted October 9, 2005 ^ Thanks! But, after you made the recommendation, I went to www.amazon.com and looked at pics of it and stuff and one question developed. Does it have a flip-out screen, for when you are filming?
benzo41190 Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 I have a Panasonic Mini DV camera, it was like $299. It is great and small.
