The Voyage

Hey, you all know about the new Voyage going in at HW. Its big, its fast and it deserves a recreation.

 

I've got an idea to have a multi person project for doing it since having 2 or 3 people working on something that massive would be nearly impossible. This isn't a track tennis nor is it a job designation project. Its more of an invite track tennis. Its coming to the point where we have several images and renders of the ride that I believe we can start it and finish and release it on the opening day of Voyage. Thats 7 months to complete.

 

If you want to join or think you'd be interested (you only have to be good at ONE thing) please post here with a link of another work of yours and what you'd be interested in doing. You don't have to be the best but with 7 months, it will hopefully get very close to the real deal.

The Voyage won't wfit into the NL grid, to my knowldege. It's too long.

Not if you build it sideways, plus, the update is coming out soon, before spacing becomes an issue.

^Ummmm, where did you hear about an update? I doubt there will be any update soon, let alone at all, the next one is actually rumored to be NL2 which will more than likely require repurchasing.

 

Also, the grid is only, roughly, 440x440m, and that means diagonally you get roughly 620m to play with, give or take a few meters. Now, that's barely a third the length of The Voyage, and while it does meander and a bit, I know that it's been shown that Mamba at WoF is pretty much impossible to fit into the grid with correct angles and heights. So, either way, you are either going to have to do some creative slope bending, or just not have the correct length at all.

 

Not to mention the massive 3D work needed for the tunnels and station, and any other little details you may want to add.

Yes. Voyage is worthy of a recreation. It'd be nearly impossible in regular NL, though.
