icSu Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Hi there, I am this days in Perth(W Australia). I love theme parks and rollercoasters and you are the most educated guys in that area ) Can you, please, recommend me something in that region? Would be greatly appreciated! Ovi
cfc Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Well, you are close to a new Eurofighter:http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1333140#p1333140.
ozziboy Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Well we only have one actual theme park, which is Adventureworld at Bibra Lake - info adventureworld.net.au but its new and only coaster opens next weekend. There are other interesting places to visit here, but not so much if you're specifically looking for coasters and rides. * You could try visiting Hillary's Boat Harbour which has a summer seasonal fun zone with water tubes and some carnival rides, plus the AQWA walk through aquarium is also there. * There's a permanent 'big wheel' attraction at Fremantle Esplanade, like a very small version of the London Eye. * Another popular tourist spot is Whiteman Park in the Swan Valley, which has an operating vintage tramline and steam train, and native animals. www.whitemanpark.com.au * If you don't have transport, closer to the Perth CBD is Perth Zoo in South Perth, which only has a vintage carousel but its animal collection is very good, inluding kangaroo petting etc. Or in West Perth is Scitech, an educational indoor attraction with a lot of interactive displays. www.scitech.org.au Hope that gives you some ideas!
icSu Posted October 28, 2013 Author Posted October 28, 2013 @cfc: Thanks man! I actually did search the forums for the Perth rollercoasters and came up with Eurofighter! I dismissed very fast because of "Euro" ))) @ozziboy: Is there a very nice answer and thank you for it. I will follow some of that ideas.
