Hey everyone! Welcome to Bianco Hills!

Bianco Hills is a multi-month 3D modeling project. The catch is - this isn't making NoLimits 3DS objects. This isn't making RCT3 cars and scenery. This is a full-scale conceptual model of a fictional amusement park. It's been my pet project for a very long time, and it's (ahem) HUUUUUUGE!

Due to the scale of the project, what I'll be presenting here is "Phase 1". After finishing this, I'll work on a new small project, then I will revisit this one for Phase 2.

Update 1 - Park Entrance Development

The beginning is a very good place to start, isn't it? That's exactly where I started - the entrance!

I was inspired by stingrays when creating the entrance to Bianco Hills. In fact, I wanted all of the architecture that way. I wanted very smooth roofs that appear to float on top of their respective buildings. My first entrance design looked like this -

The idea was to have two of these placed next to each other with a gap in the middle for guests exiting. The problem was that the setup just took too much space when implemented. So, instead of two of these, I basically taped them together to get this design -

This was better. The entryways were made wider to accommodate guests entering and also exiting. It was also at this point that I made the decision to make the park free admission with a gift card system, like Waldameer. The park entrance would be one of the booths for guests to put money onto the gift cards.

The width was okay, but I had a slight problem - there was no way for team members running the counters to get into the building to tend to guests' purchases. Heightening some of the dips in the roof fixed the issue.

At this point, I was pretty happy with the design. Are you?
