Overseas Chinese Town (Asia) Holdings Limited( http://www.oct-asia.com ) ("OCT (Asia)" or the "Company", stock code: 03366.HK) and together with its subsidiaries (the "Group"), is pleased to announce that Chengdu Happy Valley Phase II of Chengdu OCT, the subsidiary of the Company held grand opening ceremony on 31 May evening. The management of company and friends from all sectors of the community witnessed this historic moment at the "Music Square in Chengdu Happy Valley Phase II". After a month of trial operation, Chengdu Happy Valley is officially open with the total park area expanded to approximately 510,000 sq.m and a number of pioneering indoor entertainments added. The entrance fee of park is also raised to RMB190 per ticket. It may further drive the number of visitors and income growth.

 

Chengdu Happy Valley is one of the most influential theme parks in Southwestern China. It attracted approximately 2.44 million visitors and recorded a turnover of approximately RMB250 million in 2012. Happy Valley Phase II is invested almost RMB500 million with a total site area of 37,000 sq.m. With the development idea of "High-tech Fashion, Family Entertainment", the park introduces some parenting type, family type and indoor projects as the main features of new entertainment equipment.

Different from Phase I, all entertainment projects in Happy Valley Phase II have incorporated with the element of "technology", including "Fly Over the West", the flight theatre equipped with an extremely large spherical screen, "Panda Warrior", ride-in-the-dark with domestically original theme, and "Adventure into the Deep Sea", the first three-screen 4D panoramic theatre, as well as other high-technological projects such as X-chariots, Surfers, Interstellar Flying, KAKA car. Through the top entertainment facilities, it aims at providing unforgettable experience to visitors and opening a new era of urban entertainment.

Nice to see the park getting completed. I liked the two Happy Valley parks I have been too.
