GriffyTiffy Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Alrighty kids, another year, another thread packed full of my photos. What better way to start out the thread than with one of the most talked about parks of the year... SILVER DOLLAR CITY I've been wanting to check out this park for the longest time. I am a sucker for parks with such incredible scenery and terrain interaction. Once Outlaw Run was announced, I know for sure that this year was the year to do it. Let's take a closer look into the many attractions at the park. Wildfire My first B&M sit down coaster. I had heard very little about it before riding it, and was disappointed to find that it had a touch of the B&M rattle. Thankfully, it didn't take away from the experience. The view from the first drop was absolutely breathtaking. A very fun and somewhat forceful ride. Thunderation A much larger version of a traditional Arrow Mine Train. The helix was more forceful than I was expecting, and the final drop was a lot larger than I had thought. Not rough, better than Adventure Express Grand Exposition Coaster A run of the mill kids coaster. Yes, I did ride it and yes, I did feel bad about it. Fire In The Hole Smelled like an old dark ride. Fitting, since it is an old dark ride. The drops were fun, and the finale was surprising. I liked the masks the Baldknobbers wore. Powder Keg This ride had some great airtime and positive Gs. The launch was crazy, and seemed even crazier knowing how low the height limit was! The old Buzzsaw Falls portion was a little rough, but not too bad. The ride was overall much more intense than I had expected. Last, but certainly not least... Outlaw Run Absolutely incredible. Amazing first drop, the quick and forceful first inversion, airtime on every hill, then ridiculous wall climb element, and the hangtime on the barrel rolls all flowed together amazingly to create a top notch ride. My new number one coaster, no doubt about it. Let's look at the photos! Here we are! This drop on Powder Keg had more airtime than I thought it would! The back spike looked like it could have been just a new ride under construction from some angles See? I liked how some of the rides had many different signs See? The photo everyone has Pretty sign Yes, I did ride it. I don't look very proud of myself I generally like Screamin Swings, but this one had a cycle that was much too short. I would have ridden this, but I didn't think it was warm enough Another ride I didn't ride.... Some people did though, even in the mornings when it was in the mid 40's! And another ride that was too cold to ride... and yet again, other people did! I did the Marvel Cave, and it was incredible. However, It was much too dark to take pictures of, so just take my word for it It's a National Historic Landmark! The trams out of the cave Here's some random photos of the general beauty the park has Here's Thunderation too! Then we have some Flooded Mine... ... this sexual sign.... ...and Grandfather's Mansion! The second day at the park was foggy early on Well what do we have here.... And we end with this parting shot. Thanks for reading everyone, be sure to leave your comments down below
Aceattack52 Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Powder Keg and Wildfire seem to be doing well. That's good to see. Very trip report as a whole though.
