Trying to post a trip report.

I was trying to post a trip report form our trip last year, and wondered why I hadn't done it already here on TPR, but the issue is that I can't get the images to work at all, and while sitting here pulling my hair, I remembered why it never happened before...

 

There is a little mod/code here on the board which causes the letters p t and r (if written together as an abbreviation) to transform into "Photo TR" as you post it, it's a nice touch but it screw's up all my images since they are located on photobucket in a folder called "p t r" (without spaces), and since the board transforms that into "Photo TR" then they won't work here. And it makes me sad since it's a pretty epic trip which I'm dying to share with you all it also causes all my other trip reports not to work either !!

 

In essence when you write "p t r" (without spaces) in a post it will show as "Photo TR" in the forum, this also happened as you did your major upgrade to the forum some time ago, sine this wasn't an issue before...

 

I guess that the reason why you have this mod is to having it written Photo TR in the topic titles, but the mod itself works a bit too well, is there a way to force it so that it only work on the subject instead of everywhere?

 

Any help would be appreciated!!

 

And no I'm not interested to upload it all again, especially not with the crappy connection I have at the moment, if that's the case then I wont post it here...

Oh, right, I get it; it's because the three letters are in the image URLs.

 

Change the name of the Photobucket folder? Changing the name of the folder to like "atr" or "pts" might get you around it, and you'll only have to go through and change a single letter in the URLs.

 

Or, as if I don't spam this enough in the games forum...upload your images as attachments maybe?

^^ You're the only person who has reported having this problem, so it's not going to be on our priority list to fix. We also don't want to encourage people to not upload their photos to our servers, as we don't promote trip reports that have photos hosted somewhere else. It's just created a lot of problems for us in the past.

 

Sounds like we won't be able to host your trip report here if you're not willing to upload the pictures to the TPR forum, sorry.
