I do the Beastie Boys!

OK, check this out...

 

Beastie Boys (in their greatness for the music community) are releasing accepelas of their tunes for other artists to LEGALLY remix and distribute (for free) songs from their last CD. Well, of course, I jumped on this for 2 reasons, one, I love working with music, and two, to give "props" to one of the most innovative bands in the music biz today.

 

So, without further adu, here's a preview of what I started...

Please note, there is a couple four letter words in the tune, and this is only the 1st verse, but check it out, let me know whatcha think!

I have heard the song, not bad. However, at a few parts are some scratchy tones, that sounds unusual. Have you heard that, too?

Not hearing anything "scratchy" per se, the bass line is an under-sampled synth that's slightly rough and , and a couple of "synthetic cymbals", but I can't think of anything else.

 

BTW, I've never heard the original, and want to wait until after I complete this mix. Just something fun...

I have copies of all the accapellas, and the BMP calculations of each song, the music is originally scored by me on a computer.
