A.J. Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Hey guys - Lately I've noticed the advertisements are overlapping the forum UI (for example, just now I wanted to click on a page number but the advertisement blocked it). Is this normal? I remember that initially when the advertisements were put up, they were always anchored between the right side of my window and the left edge of the forum UI. EDIT: I'm running Safari 5.1 on OS X 10.7. Using the "maximize" function on the title bar doesn't fix the problem, but manually resizing the window does. Any ideas as to why?
robbalvey Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 That will get fixed. Just doing more tests with ads, since it's all very new to us.
A.J. Posted October 5, 2011 Author Posted October 5, 2011 Sure thing. This is a shot with the Safari window automatically resized (by clicking the green + on the top).
robbalvey Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 ^ Got it! I'm getting the same thing in Safari too if I make the window smaller. I've let the developer know....
ernierocker Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 That is essentially the same thing I am seeing on my iPhone and iPad.
robbalvey Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 ^ Yeah, I've sent that to the developer as well.
vuurvogel Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 I do not know if it is the same issue as above, but for me the advertisement keeps jumping all over. It will not stay put. This is in explorer and it only stays in its place when I go to screensize 70% or lower. Which makes reading more difficult. It is kind of annoying when you try to post something see
A.J. Posted October 6, 2011 Author Posted October 6, 2011 Just an update - I've noticed that, for me, the problem only occurs on the forum. The front page is fine.
robbalvey Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Yeah, it's still being worked on.... EB - what version of IE are you running?
vuurvogel Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 IE 8. But the problem is gone now. The add stays om the right site now, sticking to the Window, so something definitely changed there positively.
robbalvey Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Yeah, it's fixed in IE. Still working on the Safari problem, but that's a bit of a tougher issue.
