accelerate Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Welcome to Sunset Point! This is a park that I have been working on for about the past 2-3 weeks. I think that it has turned out pretty well so far! This park will not be a timeline park, but rather a park that is released in the order of the sections. That is why you have an impulse with a Mack Bobsled and racing woodie and nothing else, because I have only done the midway! Onto the Pictures! SCR81.BMP Welcome to Sunrise Point! SCR82.BMP Another View of that Entrance and Midway! SCR79.BMP Going down the Drop of the Park's woodie, Racer! SCR80.BMP The Impulse coaster, Imperial! SCR83.BMP You should recognize this one from Track of the Week! There is a debate going on about Avalanche. At the moment, it costs more than the Whizzer to run each year. So you decide- Does it stay or does it go? SCR84.BMP And with all this debate, no one has noticed this track and supports over here... Please comment!
braztaz Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Your supports and rides are nice but your architecture could really use some work. Try using base blocks instead of walls on the entrance building!
braztaz Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Nooo! Not Base Supports, base blocks, like these... SCR352.BMP
accelerate Posted September 10, 2011 Author Posted September 10, 2011 As walls? Seems pretty big for a wall. I guess I'll figure this one out.
braztaz Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Those glitches happen because you used wall pieces. The base blocks will look exactly the same since the majority of the block will be inside the building and out of view, except it won't glitch and it's much easier to build buildings with. (Especially the quarter blocks)
ThrillsChills24 Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Also try and use custom blocks on buildings, it will look a lot better and more realistic.
accelerate Posted October 13, 2011 Author Posted October 13, 2011 SUPERMEGAULTRASUPERAGAINDONKEYBUMP!!!!! I'm sorry that Icouldn't update until now, between XC and school an update was imossible. Well, here's what's new for this update: Encoded-Voted world's best indoor B&M floorless custom 6-looper... for 10 years straight! Also relocated from Mountain Lake (my old park), where it was known as the Ghost! Through the Loop- A Schwarzkopf shuttle loop - R.D. will be interested! And onto the pictures! SCR90.BMP Very, very curious... SCR88.BMP It's a B&M coaster in a box! The Ghost still lives! SCR91.BMP An overview of the midway... How's the Archy here? Worse, Better? SCR92.BMP And there's that shuttle loop from earlier... Please, please comment!
QueerRudie Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 The Schwarzkopf Coaster makes me sad. Re-think it, and take a look at a few that are done with less 'empty' track between the loop and the tower; the ride doesn't quite fit the scale of the Schwarzkopf 'standard' models. I have an accurate to scale Schwarzkopf Shuttle Loop in the exchange- it's not themed, but it will give you a better model to work with, shuttle-loop wise. Other than that, the park is looking good- R.D.
accelerate Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 ^Belive it or not, there are only 2 trackpieces in between the loop and the tower. Also, how does the weight drop launch look? Should I ditch it or keep it?
QueerRudie Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Dump the track between the loop and the spike- ASAP! As much as the pictures show a longer curve on His shuttle loops, it looks really weird in RCT II to have it there- it doesn't fit right. As for the weight-drop tower, that's for you to decide. Based upon when you're installing it (If the park is a timeline park, of course) it may be superfolous. 1978 was the year the weight drop disappeared- in favor of the much more popular (And easier for repairs!) flywheel catapult type system. Generally, since RCT II uses the box-beam loop that He designed, I'd drop the weight tower, unless the coaster itself is a period piece. Praise be to Anton. R.D.
