German Parks

Fry

Recommended Posts

Next year I may be doing a quick tour of Germany and was planning on hitting the following parks...

1. Heide Park

2. Holiday Park

3. Europa Park

4. Phantasialand

5. Movie Park

I was wondering if there are any parks I shouldn't miss out on, or some of those which I could leave. Also, will a day be long enough for all of those, baring in mind I've done Phantasialand already and would only be going for Black Mamba.

Thanks.

i live in hamburg. that looks like a pretty good list you've got there. if you have the chance, you should stay in one of the themed hotels at europa park. it's great, and very disney-like. otherwise, i don't have anything to suggest that would be close to where you've already planned to go. have fun!

Hi,

your short trip sounds pretty nice, but the whole time for the trip depends on the travelling time and days of visit.

1. Heide Park

You can really do it in one day - "must see" german park because of Collosos and overall nice atmosphere.

2. Holiday Park

Very easy to do it on one day - I think about 4 hours is more than enough.

3. Europa Park

This park should be the highlight of your trip - overnight stay at one of the Europa Park Hotels (try the Collosseo!!!) is strongly recommended. Normally it`s really, really hard to do it all on one day (shows and rides).

4. Phantasialand

Easy to manage it in about 5 hours.

5. Movie Park

Just came back from this park, and today (tuesday) it was possible to it in three hours. Don`t expect to much - some credits, some nice rides and overall lousy atmosphere; expect a lot of young school groups and stupid kids - in summermonths bigger crowds.

Can`t recommend other parks because I don`t know your exact route.

Normally you can extend your trip in the north with Hansa-Park or Walibi World, NL in western germany you can extend with some belgium parks (Bobbejaanland or Walibi Belgium, both about two hours from Phantasia) or Fort Fun (if you do Phantasia or Movie Park very fast, about one hour away) and in the south there`s just Tripsdrill (lovely nice little family park).

But I think your trip is really nice.

Andy
