It is with great sadness that I write this post to let the TPR community know of the passing of a great man, Alan Ramsay. Alan may not be very well known to this community, or the park/coaster enthusiast public, but he played a very integral role in the amusement industry. Per the post above, Alan was the owner of CLM Entertainment for the past 10 years, becoming the most respected and well known ride inspection companies in the United States. If a ride needed to be inspected after an accident, or for their yearly check, Alan and CLM were there. Alan was also a very well renowned member of IAAPA, participating at the annual IAAPA Expo as a speaker. He was also Secretary/Treasurer of NEAAPA.

Alan became a good friend of mine over the past year and a half, and I felt it very necessary to bring him and his life to everyone's attention as he was not only a very prominent figure in the amusement world, but a fantastic human being. He will be greatly missed.

I met Alan at IAAPA and he immediately took me under his wing. I always joked spending one evening with Alan taught me more than a few years of working in the industry. He knew his stuff and wasn't afraid to share it and help you out.

He really cared about this industry - it wasn't just a job for him. He wanted to make the industry a better place and do what he could to help people with their careers.
