coastermaniac Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Recently, I went ziplining and I found it quite fun. Coasters are what made me love heights so being up in the air and in the trees while ziplining was so cool to me.
harper83087 Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 I've always enjoyed coasters for how they made me feel. A guy my size shouldn't be able to do the things that coasters allow, getting tossed, turned, flipped, twisted, dropped, thrown, etc. That being said I don't think coasters have prompted me to do other things in search of a thrill, they just put that bug in my ear. I have always wanted to bungee jump and I'm still working on getting the nerve to sky dive. I think I'd take any kind of thrill if/when it's thrown my direction.
coastermaniac Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 I've always wanted to bungee jump and skydive; I've just never had the chance to (mainly because of the this little thing called money).
SKULLY Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 While bungee jumping was awesome, it seems to give you only about 5% or less of the amount of freefall as skydiving for about 25% the price. The price for a nearby bungee jump at a fair from an advertised 130 ft. was around $40 while a skydive from a nearby jump zone from an advertised 12,500 + ft. (about 100 times higher!) is only $100. Basically, even though bungee jumping is much cheaper, the amount of freefall you get from sky diving more than makes up for it. Then again, it's nice that you don't have to bungee tandem but it still lacks the sheer exhilaration of skydiving. After all, you can bungee jump at some theme parks while sky diving is much too extreme for a theme park. Despite this, I never felt unsafe during my jump.
