Hey TPR!

Well, last weekend I went back to one of my favourtite themeparks in the country, Alton Towers! The saturday we went was such a lovely summers day which was sooo nice! But the next day it was a lot colder but we still managed to have a lot of fun!

Day 1: Saturday

On saturday, we had the early ride time passes to enter the park at Nine o'clock, so we entered and headed for Rita. We rode Rita four times before the park opened and it was amazing! I love this rolleroaster! She was running so well that day!

Then after that we headed to queue for Th13rteen at 9.50am. We rode it twice that day (Once in the normal queue and once in the single rider queue. I highly recomend using the single rider queue on Th13rteen! It is much faster than the normal queue! Th13rteen is an alright coaster! But it's just not worth a massive wait. However they do run a lot of cars and the **** sequence is kind of fun! I like the first drop aswell! Although it's trimmed it's a nice twisty ride!

After that we headed to Nemesis and Air. Nemesis is much more rough and forceful than I last remember it! But it's soooooo good!!!! Heaven must be missing an Angel! Or Hells missing a monster! . It's so good though and I also recomend the single rider queue on this ride aswell! Air was nice! It's so photogenic as well if you have the right camera. I just had my phone. But it is a really good coaster! Then we headed down towards the Congo river rapids ride which is really fun! We played the whole 'You Got Got!' game which is funny! WE skipped the Mine train for that day as the line was huge! But we ate in a lovely Pizza/Pasta Buffet! I highly recomend this resturant for all thise acers out there! After that we went to Oblivion and rode that. Oblivion is a really scary ride! Once your hanging over the top you really think 'I'm a massive idiot' but once your going it is such a rush! They did stack some trains on the brake run but it was alright. We also rode the log flume which was really good! Especially when it was really hot it was a nice ride to chill down. The queue was rather large but it went down at an alright speed. Although you don't get that wet on the drops, those shower heads are not Dan friendly! There's also a cool indoor bit round the back but i'm not going to tell you what is in them!

Saturday was a great day to be at the park anyway! Not to many lines.

Day 2: Sunday

Sunday was an interesting day at the park. My advice would be to not go on the last sunday of Easter break. There was a lot of Travellers that day. There was a lot of police about as you can see in some of the pictures but that didn't matter. The thing that mattered was that a lot of Traveller Girls got grabbed right in the centre of the path ways. I know the men are trying to get wives and everything but couldn't they keep the whole 'Grabbing' Thing to somewhere else? Anyway, Sunday was a nice day.

For the early morning ride time on Sunday, WE headed round the other side of the park. The first ride we went on was the mine Train in the back. You can get some nice airtime in the back row! And we also got on the first ride of the day!

Then we headed to Nemesis and we got 10 rides before 10am! We kept on jumping back into the Single rider queue after we got off to save the time of walking back round. We sat together for a lot of the times but some times we got split up but that didn't matter! I highly recomend the single rider queue again! Then at 10am we went to ride Air which was nice! At some time in the day we were in the single rider queue for Air when The ride got stuck while the People on the ride were in the flying position in the station! It lasted about ten minutes until they were released and there was a massive cheer throughout the station. I love those moments! Anyway, we rode that agagin and did loads of other stuff. We went on Hex as I said to my family that we should go to The chained oak. Hex was a good ride and very mind bobbling! Although you spend more time finding the exit to the ride through the Gardens of the towers than the actual ride is spent it was still worth it.

Anyway, on to the photos!24042011982.thumb.jpg.e8beb168be71af7148bfa94183cdade2.jpg23042011815.thumb.jpg.d44b97618b84e69297e786e15468676c.jpg23042011817.thumb.jpg.ce228f84c0766e2da003c0238c6641da.jpg23042011818.thumb.jpg.e9ed055cb83a0072ade8a2b48af77956.jpg23042011823.thumb.jpg.d493ad67778f472e3b630393698781fb.jpg23042011826.thumb.jpg.09902030adf68dd5e172a6360183081f.jpg23042011829.thumb.jpg.088c026386ec034b74718ac5b230c97c.jpg23042011830.thumb.jpg.1307cfc79ee8a870f0b347a13336bd37.jpg23042011831.thumb.jpg.5e82a2bff48ed4fda9a82aea41f54891.jpg23042011832.thumb.jpg.752245367f239474761ade56354f96fe.jpg23042011839.thumb.jpg.104068983dcb6970c5a8962dfbb2c118.jpg23042011841.thumb.jpg.8eb4e9a8850b754f788c3a0e4cb1f53c.jpg23042011842.thumb.jpg.9e61a3619547a5b41e95e7ec4ea48e34.jpg23042011848.thumb.jpg.21edc904094b8b39ee2ce75315150999.jpg23042011856.jpg.dbf2d3ed56b6947e7823636a240f39c1.jpg24042011871.thumb.jpg.e4782a0c68891ce2a08a03d1b424dd8a.jpg24042011875.thumb.jpg.297659f985fa48e08b5ff8781dcdd9c6.jpg24042011881.thumb.jpg.5abfdba9887faab73e2d4d82bce13037.jpg24042011883.thumb.jpg.cf3bfbae7b964ceb26d9b1a8bb452e56.jpg24042011885.thumb.jpg.3650a5e268d564534dff4a8e5906ddba.jpg24042011886.thumb.jpg.e28c075b98111026ca329308da507abf.jpg24042011887.thumb.jpg.43c99d35c74bb58a1ad5fd3498bec559.jpg24042011891.thumb.jpg.f490661bc14a2dc0fb7a970fe5ec09b9.jpg24042011893.thumb.jpg.865f36fc88b6c8aad92c8cb623ee7d75.jpg24042011894.thumb.jpg.8b3b4361336975d5fd6cf3fbadbdfe61.jpg24042011895.thumb.jpg.9766b1328f7e43b2de359c410b51f5df.jpg24042011897.thumb.jpg.c37a0a3f02d3e8c280d2fff6a4c1c3fd.jpg24042011896.thumb.jpg.4bcac19aa1e4c40bb440c270ab9279dc.jpg24042011905.thumb.jpg.f7b9daddbf86eee071ddfe9a76cc50c4.jpg24042011906.thumb.jpg.a63fe2f6550dd37b6b4fc7cdf79c5fe6.jpg24042011907.thumb.jpg.517f301e182304c8acb2825bc923b6d9.jpg24042011908.thumb.jpg.c09665baab1f109633c12970fe7795ea.jpg24042011909.thumb.jpg.0d4e963e944c82c69ba0c7406ae0438b.jpg24042011911.thumb.jpg.fe1cd7c1485c0909ff358b133a366704.jpg24042011914.thumb.jpg.f9384b371f5728e1c0e4573d0e6563af.jpg24042011918.thumb.jpg.98a068559a387e39bf891fd488127a8e.jpg24042011919.thumb.jpg.872f8818eacca018be906df76863ff8c.jpg24042011922.thumb.jpg.91da33624ea19e5050747ffa9c1d2bd9.jpg24042011924.thumb.jpg.e28b1c988fdf0c4b1167c266a5a70991.jpg24042011925.thumb.jpg.36730691ca7bc9866cf0e10eb010fae4.jpg24042011928.thumb.jpg.9fbf4b0c4e6d0d05787d89f12424b276.jpg24042011930.thumb.jpg.27a1715ad2a321059fb98de30226b811.jpg24042011935.thumb.jpg.e3dabc5b63a55e2778dcb2be49f2636e.jpg24042011942.thumb.jpg.5c0a7b3995ea0224a2da7bab9883f1ed.jpg24042011955.thumb.jpg.691e0eaf7283c7fe43beedcec4ae2b78.jpg24042011956.thumb.jpg.af2f31282870e6fde95f13560ed5a27d.jpg24042011962.thumb.jpg.fab20fea83980a06272d6079633fa232.jpg24042011971.thumb.jpg.b2b49624c6a428ebd5a63db9805cafb8.jpg24042011972.thumb.jpg.170fa2cf9601e5cf4c46ba76e4c39b11.jpg24042011984.thumb.jpg.d9f71d2e56e026ad87272859dee309c1.jpg24042011988.thumb.jpg.33fbe0cceb74ec76a1879cf3b6524171.jpg24042011990.thumb.jpg.32346aa0133e58d3d2c0a33243fbeefa.jpg

Yeah, I forgot to mention that We were invited to sit at the front of the monorail with the driver and two workers who were incredibly kind. I would like to day thanks to them!

The Chained Oak

Well, We went to see the chained oak which was down a lovely footpath and I must say that Tree was Huge!! I'm sure that Andy Would agree with me that it is worth a visit! It was beside a nice stream aswell and it is very high up! There were stairs leading up to it and you could take lots of photos! You have to go see it! Maybe on the Next UK trip you could take a visit to the olde oak!24042011991.thumb.jpg.b751bc3371b3f021b9d49d159efd46c2.jpg

Well this was the pathway leading to the oak.24042011995.thumb.jpg.d911da8f315cd764cb727459b34b5c7a.jpg

It was really nice to walk down!24042011994.thumb.jpg.a0673d7399b8baabb8afe27ff9b28f32.jpg

It reminds me of the three headed dog in the first Harry Potter Movie!240420111010.thumb.jpg.a014e518623a6a35ff6a28a7cb262a34.jpg

Yeah! It was big! Huge!240420111007.thumb.jpg.9a49f81072b2550b2edabe02ecd2cb3d.jpg240420111013.jpg.ca66bea44280961556500e008709367f.jpg

After that we went to eat but the carvery we wanted to go to was closed because of the you know who...

So we went to another place which had an interesting meal! (look at the first one!)240420111014.jpg.eed5cd49bad237d7e9a47dd3e345581a.jpg

This is the whole menu and I highly recomend this place. It's in Alton past Alton Castle and the name of the place is The Blacksmiths. Their Potted bread was interesting too!

Thanks for reading!

Great Trip Report!

What I find really cool about Alton Towers is the History behind it! Its cool to see the Chained oak!

Great Job

-Zach

(Hope to visit Alton Towers in the future)

Yeah, Alton has a lot of History that you can find in the Towers themselves. And it's such a beautiful park aswell. I have some videos to upload later on so look out for them.

  • 2 weeks later...
I never realised the chained oak actually existed... I thought it was just a plot for Hex... STUPID ME...

I went to search the chained oak last year. I asked some guys from the staff, and they didn't know of it's existence! After 10 minutes they found some older guy who lived in the nearby, and he was the only one who knew it!

Then we came to hear the oak is only a mile maximum away from the park. Very nice to see the thing real life!
