AJClarke0912 Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 (edited) Beaver Dam - an RCT1 scenario rip from "Butterfly Dam" Well, people in chat have been wanting to see how I do in RCT2, so I thought I'd post one of my parks. My style is unique: it's a non-CS (UNTIL RECENTLY) style that mixes traditional RCT with realism. I usually use RCT2 as a break from NoLimits, so I'm not serious about the game or take much time with it...it's my device for relaxation. Anyway, I once downloaded the scenario from RCT1 called "Butterfly Dam" from the RCT2 Object List site. I found it lacking something: the actual dam shaping. Of course, since it was from RCT1, the dam was made of a 1-block width set of raised land stretching across the river. It looked very poor. So, I stepped in by adding a slope to it, as well as my first usage of CS...the sloping waterfall. Onto the pictures. Park Overview Thus-Far: From the Entrance Area...(I always make that midway feel for some reason): To the Right of the Entrance (based on the above picture): Keep heading that way and you run into Conquistador (which I tried doing custom supports with 8cars but i had texture glitches): Left side of entrance based on far above picture: This is where Treetop Flyer is located. I plan on adding more rides and such into the area: Go straight from the entrance and across the dam and you'll find Thunder Falcon in the new area of the park: Unique station setup that is Thunder Falcon: Thunder Falcon is basically 300 feet tall (295 to be exact) and takes cues from Expedition GeForce: Thanks for taking the time to read! I plan on constructing my first water park on the other side of the reservoir and on the hills, taking a cue from Holiday World's Splashin' Safari. More flats to come, as well as a few more coasters; one a kiddie and a possible flying coaster. More to come! Overview to sum up progress: Edited September 23, 2010 by AJClarke0912
let1gre Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 This looks really great so far. I love terrain coasters, so it's cool that every coaster is a terrain coaster.
AJClarke0912 Posted September 23, 2010 Author Posted September 23, 2010 Thanks! I always strive for terrain coasters for some reason...they are just WAY more fun to design and are more interesting to watch in-game.
dmaxsba2408 Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 The park looks like a fun place, love the wooden coasters dive down and turn over the water and the Arrow coaster. From what I can see of it, it looks like you did a great makeover on the dam also.
