Solid Gold Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Does anyone know if there are any German Fairs operating this week, with any of the big coasters and rides? I think I read that Olympia Looping was going to be in Annaburg June 5th, but as for Eurostar, Alpinebahn, and others I am totally in the dark.
Thri!!er Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 "Olympia Looping": http://www.olympialooping.de/standorte.html Annaberger Kät: 05.06. - 13.06. 2010 "Alpina Bahn": As i heared, the next station from the Alpina Bahn is Düsseldorf from 17.07 - 25.07. 2010 "Euro Star" is officially sold since Juli 2008! Double Loop "Teststrecke": Teststrecke is right now in Karlsruhe: http://www.karlsruhe.de/fb5/maerkte/mess.de Karlsruher Frühjahrsmess': 28.05. - 07.06. 2010
Solid Gold Posted May 30, 2010 Author Posted May 30, 2010 Haha, that's actually really funny. I went to Dorney last year, the first that Laser had been removed, and missed it there. Great Info. I may go here as I still have two days on my Eurail pass, but Munich (for cultural reasons) is looking very attractive as well. Would there also be a Wild Mouse/Dragon Wagon/Dark ride coaster and other major stuff like Airwolf/Top Scan/ other big rides?
Thri!!er Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 On the Munich "Oktoberfest/Beerfestival", you will find a lot of coasters. Normally you will find also a "Wild Mouse/"Wilde Maus" or a Dark-Ride like "Höllenblitz" for example... Regards Thri!!er
DJW Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 I know its too late for the above post and I am sure you will have found out if you did go to Munich I do know they also have a smaller Spring Fair on around May time. However if it was still on it usualy does not attract any of the really big coasters - usually only a mouse of some kind.
kumba830 Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 To keep form making a new topic I want to add my question on here. How much does it cost to ride OlympiaLooping/get an all day ride pass at a German fair? I plan on stopping at the one in Wurzburg and appreciate answers -Thanks Nathan,
ParkTrips Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 I doubt that an all-day pass exists for any German funfair, as the rides are all owned by different operators - unlike the US where fairs usually only include one operator (or maybe two at a huge fair) I'm not positive, but I think Olympia runs 5 euros a ride
DJW Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Last time I rode Olympia Looping it was 6 Euros a ride. The great thing about German fairs is the value for money they do give. They have the best presented rides in the world with many flat rides being 2 - 3 Euros generally and you get very very long rides; Also some rides offer group for family tickets for that ride as a discount or if you buy several tokens you get a discount.
