Kingsislandfreak Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 The Great Escape looks like a nice little park that packs a big punch so maybe I should go it is only 6 hrs from Maryland anyways plus there are small parks which i could stop on the way.
thrillrider Posted April 14, 2010 Author Posted April 14, 2010 It's a nice park, but if your going JUST for the coasters, you may be a little bummed. The comet is a nice coaster, but other than that, coasterwise there is not too much. There were a few nice flats, and the log ride is nice as well. I also like how the park has tons of trees still.
thrillrider Posted May 4, 2010 Author Posted May 4, 2010 I am trying to get all of my dorney park pictures together to post. Should have them up in the next few days.
thrillrider Posted May 26, 2010 Author Posted May 26, 2010 Crap!!!! I accidently erased my memory card with the dorney park pictures on it. Looks like I am gonna have to go back this summer.
PKI Jizzman Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Were you at Kings Island today? Oh, and can you elaborate a little more on the Bizarro restraints? I'd like to hear more about that.
thrillrider Posted May 26, 2010 Author Posted May 26, 2010 It's kind of hard to explain about the lap bars, other then they don't land where a normal lap bar lands. Instead of landing on your gut, it lands on your upper leg. Plus add in the fact that they felt the need to staple everyone, it made for an unpleasant ride. And no, I was not at kings island today. I am going to try to get there this summer, but will be there for sure in the fall for the halloween event. We did make it down there for the day after opening day.
thrillrider Posted May 26, 2010 Author Posted May 26, 2010 Here are some pictures of the lap bars. You can see the lap bar here.
Joe_Spence Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Those Houdini Rides at SF are pretty cool...great themeing for a flat
thrillrider Posted May 26, 2010 Author Posted May 26, 2010 I agree. I think there are only 2 of these type rides in the states. The one in six flags great adventure, and the one at six flags new england.
thrillrider Posted May 27, 2010 Author Posted May 27, 2010 Looks like I will be doing this exact same trip this fall. I may add in a few smaller parks to the mix as well.
