kerricksasaki Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 I am visiting LA from 3/31-4/6 (spring break!) and trying to organize my park visits as best that I can. 3/31 I will be at Knott's due to a ticket that runs out that day. So that leaves 4/1-4/5 (4/6 is for travel) for me to visit Disneyland, DCA, Magic Mountain, and Universal. I will get a two day park hopper for Disney. Basically, what would be the best days to visit these parks given my bad timing? I was thinking: 4/1 Thursday- Disneyland 4/2 Friday- Universal 4/3 Saturday- stay the heck away from them all 4/4 Easter Sunday- Magic Mountain 4/5 Monday- Disneyland/DCA
Sir Clinksalot Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Honestly, with all of the AP's but premium blocked out on April 3 and 4 (Fri/Sat) it "might" not be so bad. There are over 1 million AP's at Disneyland now and the bulk are SoCal and Deluxe AP's. You will still get the spring break crowd, but if you have a multi-day park hopper it might not be "too" bad. As far as the rest, I think that is probably a good bet on days. But it's spring break and all the parks will be busy, so be prepared.
austinlee Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 I agree. During Spring Break the parks will probably be crowded no matter which days you go to each one. Shuffling the dates around probably won't make much difference in this case. Avoiding Saturday is a good idea most of the time and especially during Spring Break, but the lines will probably be long either way. I would suggest getting a Flash Pass at SFMM too.
imdakazu Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 As I do have an AP to disneyland. There really isn't a good day. It'll almost always be packed. If possible, plan ahead and utilize the FAST PASS where available. Don't quote me on this. but I think 4/3 would be ok for disneyland, maybe. That's when the iPad comes out and with the current rumors that it may be hotter than the iPhone. Mostly everyone may all be at an apple store. And as said earlier, 4/2 & 4/3 all AP's except the Premium are blocked out.
larrygator Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 How much for a pitcher of Apple Kool-Aid? The iPad debut will have minimal impact on attendance on Disneyland.
imdakazu Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 I was just hoping... I want a day of disneyland with little crowds... Can't we just imagine?
