aramy Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Hi, me and my wife are going to orlando on february 5, 2010. We will spend some days in the parks , but also make a round trip in florida. I already made a schedule when to visit which park - but I really appreciate some feedback from you. Maybe a different order might be better... As all hotels are already booked via priceline a total change of the trip stations is not possible anymore. Our basic plan was: Friday 5, arrival Saturday: Universal Studios and Island of Adventure with the Express pass Sunday: Seaworld Monday - Thursday: Miami, Key West...... Friday: Bush Gardens Tampa Saturday: in the morning we wanted to go to "Big Cat Rescue" in Tampa. We would arrive in Orlando maybe at 1.pm. As this is "Presidents Day Weekend", does it make sense to go to a Disney Park? Or will the crowds probably be to massiv? We also have 2 hours on sunday morning available (9-11) Are there any current codes for Universal online-shop available? Any suggestions if the planned order of the parks is OK? Thanks a lot for you ideas and help! Greetings from germany, aramy
monsterfan99 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 If you are in Miami and have a car, the Dania Beach Hurricane wooden coaster is about 30-60 minutes away at Boomers. Here is the RCDB link http://www.rcdb.com/622.htm
Brad Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Saturday: Universal Studios and Island of Adventure with the Express pass Sunday: Seaworld I would switch these two. Seaworld rarely gets long lines for its major attractions, and if there are lines, their Quick Queue system is very affordable and offers unlimited express access to their major attractions (Manta, Kraken, Journey to Atlantis, Wild Arctic, Paddle Boats and Sky Tower). Doing Universal and IOA on a Sunday is MUCH better than a Saturday (but I still recommend Universal Express to really get to enjoy the parks.
aramy Posted January 31, 2010 Author Posted January 31, 2010 My thoughts were that there will be more people in Universal and IOA on Sundays? So the more crowded day will be saturday? Thanks for this tip!
SharkTums Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Usually Saturday is the busier day at most US theme parks. Disney sometimes breaks this rule and has bigger crowds on Sunday's.
Brad Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 My thoughts were that there will be more people in Universal and IOA on Sundays? So the more crowded day will be saturday? Thanks for this tip! My experiences with just about any theme park in the U.S. has been that Saturday is the busiest day of the week. Granted, a number of factors can make any given day the most crowded (special events, group trips, etc), but I would count on Sunday being less crowded. (Especially in the mornings).
