hobbit Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 The biggest game of the year for sale. Modern Warfare 2. For 55euro you can buy the game. you can enjoy from the modern war, and the big multyplayer games. But many people dont like the game because there is lots of blood, terrorists and other violents. watch this gameplay please: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f86PzRxcjmU before you start this level, they give a warning that you can skip the level, and in Germany to can't shoot at this level. How do you think about this type of games? Movies (saw, hostel, texas chainsaw massacre) Why do people like to see how people die, how people are tortured, and edited with a chainsaw. what do you think? (I that you can understand this topic, my English is not so good)
KPWoCkAxX Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 I, personally have no problem with violence, in games or movies. COD simply wouldn't be the same if there was no violence involved. That's basically why there are age restrictions on certain games. However, most people find ways around it by either buying off the internet or getting parents or older friends to buy it for them. I mean, I know at cinemas they check for ID before you purchase the ticket if they think you're not old enough.
hobbit Posted November 11, 2009 Author Posted November 11, 2009 Here in Dronten (the netherlands) you can buy 18+ games, and go in the cinema 16+ film if you are under that age. I think that good, if you really want to see a horror game/movie.. You will see it.. Only on a other way. if take somebody down with a knife, they say here... "Yes he play lots of video games..." "we must stop that games!" I think that is one big lie! It is good that they give warnings that the movie/game will be gore and violent. But they can't stop that genre.
Chris Benvenuto Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Europe has always been picky with what is good and what is bad. I spent about a month with a former German exchange student and his family in Germany and that was always coming up. I mean, sure, every nation has it's problems and faults but seriously what's the deal with blaming every gun or murder crime on video games? More importantly, what is it with Europeans and picking apart the American right to bear arms? but that's another story for another time methinks. I'm fine with violent stuff, but if you're kid or friend is hooked on it, it's time to sit them down and talk to them about it. Europe to American video game politics are competely different mindgames. (sorry, can't help but laugh, I find it funny. Not with the shootings that have been occuring in Europe, but it's something I always laugh at nervously.)
