LJGoBlue Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 I don't know if anyone else on here is very big into U of M football or even College Football for that matter, but if you are post your thoughts here. I would like to start out by saying that although they may not win the Big Ten this year, I think Michigan will still be solid and go maybe 7-5 regular season. I think Coach Rodriguez has done a great job with recruiting so far and I am very anxious to see both Tate Forcier and Denard Robinson play next year.
dandaman Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 As funny as it was with the Notre Dame thread, since I actually AM a Michigan fan I'd imagine this won't end well for us. Anyway, 7-5 doesn't exactly sound like a good record for a Big Ten team, but sadly is probably a good prediction. Also, when in the hell did the Rose Bowl lose to "BCS National Championship Presented By Random Sponsor" for being the top bowl game in the league? EDIT: Also also wik, I just remembered a good joke I heard about Ohio State... Q: Why does Jim Tressel put his eggs on a plate? A: If he put them in a bowl, he wouldn't be able to beat 'em.
spaceace12 Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 Atleast your team is better than the local college football team where I live. My team has been perfect for two seasons. They haven't won a game in 2 adn 1/2 seasons. The college I went to was perfect in thier season too. They had never lost a game. Pretty easy when you don't have a team.
LJGoBlue Posted July 4, 2009 Author Posted July 4, 2009 Haha I like the joke a lot, while OSU may win the Big Ten every year they don't represent well at all in the bowl games. The Big Ten is really losing a lot of respect though. With Michigan in the process of rebuilding from the ground up all there is left is an overrated Ohio State team and Penn State who can't compete outside of the Big Ten. Sadly, the Big Ten is no longer one of the top conferences in college football. Hopefully that will change in a few years when all of the underclassmen become juniors and seniors and Michigan rises back to the top.
