Taylo234 Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Hello! I have never felt my coasters were good enough to upload on any site, but I'm pretty sure this one is good. It's not fully complete (still needs scenery and a bit of fixing). I would appreciate all comments good and bad and some tips to fix it! -Taylor Youtube: VERSION 2: Download: http://rapidshare.com/files/247653810/Slither_inverted_Public_version.nltrack.html
Thelegendarymatthew Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Looks good, ironicly as soon as I clicked this the song "Slither" by Metallica started playing. -Matthew K.
Taylo234 Posted June 22, 2009 Author Posted June 22, 2009 Thanks Mathew! I appreciate the feedback! I just wish youtube would stop removing original music with this whole copyright deal. -Taylor
Thelegendarymatthew Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 If you don't want them to take down your songs, get a song editor such as audicity(sp), and change bits of it. I did it with "The Hell song, by Sum 41", and it worked! Plus WMG just takes down something if they hear a song they know. They never even check if its theres! How stupid, also I had a custom song which was more of a poem that I made. Guess what. Got taken down, because it has "WMG music" in it. I guess I signed a deal with WMG -Matthew "I forgot that night" K.
Taylo234 Posted June 22, 2009 Author Posted June 22, 2009 Interesting point Matt! On one of my other videos, I played a part of a song in the beginning, then the full song after and its never been taken down. Must of tricked them or something. -Taylor
Thelegendarymatthew Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 ^Or you must of had it put up before the Google change. All the copyright companys or searching the 1000s of videos to find everyone thats "bad". Whats worst is that they will sometimes take down official channels. I will tell you this, ever sense Google took over, copyrighting become more noticeable. -Matthew K. (This is turning into a rant now, I think we should stop it here. Talk about the pretty coaster!)
Taylo234 Posted June 22, 2009 Author Posted June 22, 2009 I indeed agree with you Matt. Google has taken over (along with Viacom) but hey, what can we do? I also agree that we should probably end this now before the Youtube team has us at gun point on our doorsteps. So, is there any changed you would make to my coaster? I feel the break run curve is just odd looking. -Taylor
netdvn Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 If you have an issue with YouTube removing the music because of copyright violations... 1. Use video game tracks. I haven't seen YouTube take down any video game tracks yet, and there are plenty of amazing ones you could use for your coaster. 2. If your video has a pop-up with the name of the song and links to download off of iTunes and Amazon, the song is legal.
Taylo234 Posted June 23, 2009 Author Posted June 23, 2009 UPDATE: Due to some feedback, I've fixed up Slither! That's right, less supports, better brake run, and smoother track! (EDIT) Video:
themeparkman25 Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 From the pictures and videos it looks pretty good, but can you post a download so that we can "dig in"?
Taylo234 Posted June 23, 2009 Author Posted June 23, 2009 Yes, it is right here. http://rapidshare.com/files/247653810/Slither_inverted_Public_version.nltrack.html
