deguy123 Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 I'm doing this trip report at work so it won't all be at once. So this past weekend we headed for our annual Hersheypark trip. We went at the pool at our hotel and were treated to a guy-on-guy massage. I'm gay myself but once you see the picture.....you'll know why I was thinking "AND I'M SINGLE!!" Anyway...We headed to the park at around 7pm Sunday and jumped on Chocolate World since the preview plan wasn't until 7:30. After that we bought these new Good-n-Fiery at one of the stores....so disgusting! Once in the park the crowds were very light being that Comet usually has a line and it wasn't even a 5 minute wait. We ended up riding all the coaster besides Storm Runner and Fahrenheit.. Random thoughts/comments for Sunday night -Closed rides were The Kissing Tower and The Claw -As usual all the people were friendly -The area around the wave pool has changed drastically over the past few years...kinda sad -Trailblazer was running 2 trains(I've heard its usually only one on trip reports -There were guys in their boxers in the Dunkin Donuts right out side the exit to the park.....no idea why? Wildcat(2 trains) - no wait - Still think the new trains have helped the ride greatly. Even though it throws you around, it's a pretty fun ride IMO. While on the way we all snubbed the Wavepool Wildmouse - still crazy and nothing beat hearing my friend Stacey scream on every corner...lol... Music Express - I usually don't like spinning rides but they were playing good music so we all jumped on. Just Dance played and I was in heaven It's lunch time so I'll update more about Sunday and then Monday soon.....pictures tonight.
deguy123 Posted June 18, 2009 Author Posted June 18, 2009 More..... When we arrived the the park on Monday I could tell it was going to be another light crowd day. The weather was beautiful so I was pretty happy about that. My daughter last year had promised to get on Great Bear(her first major steel coaster) so I was excited about that. We made our way to Comet as usual and it was only a 5 minute wait. My daugther(9 years old) wanted to get Great Bear down with since she was nervous. We waited about 20 minutes and she started to get really nervous. While I felt bad, I knew she would love it. Then once in the seat she started to cry but didn't say anything. While going up the lift hill I started to sing "Puff the Magic Dragon" (no idea why). As we were going down the hill, I heard laughter so was thinking that's a good sign. She ended up getting off the ride smiling THANK GOD..... We just went around the park doing flats, me skipping out on some due to not liking spinning rides. Then came The Claw..... The Claw - 10 minute wait - I was pretty nervous being that spinning rides do not agree with me but I forced myself on. While in line some random girls goes "What if the arm just snapped off"...GREAT. So I ended up get on and enjoying it more then I thought. Fahrenheit - 20 minute wait - The lift hill was the best part of the Ride......the ride was smooth until the half way through. The last airtime hill was a good suprise. Overall a great ride StormRunner(One train/side operation) - 45 minutes - The ride was still very enjoyable and worth the wait. For lunchtime of course I headed to my favorite place for a beef sub, so good....just look at it(see pictures below)! Night we just hopped on whatever we went by and people wanted to go on. Random thoughts/comments for Monday -Kissing Tower was still closed all day -Another great day at Hersheypark -Twizzer slurpee....YUM -The Rolo character was crazy! Just standing there like a stuffed animal...lol... Here are a few pictures my friend sent me at work.....more to come later Jolly Rancher! The Rolo was crazy later on that night! On the Pirate Ship! Yum! So good!
