Six Flags Enthuseast Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 For anybody that can design custom scenery, can I ask you a favor? I got ahold of a "Pokemon Amusement Park" book, and I found it very interesting... I looked through it and it had some good stuff in. I'd like to design a small park on RCT2 based partially on it. Can I get someone to hook me up with some custom scenery of some kind that has to do with Pokemon? The big things that I would ask for are: Pokemon statues with no base that take up 1 full square on the game Possibly a few pictures with some of the 'ghost' type Pokemon Maybe a few themed coasters IF anyone can design a coaster car (preferably Steelix or Furret) Maybe a few themed trees I thank you for listening to my requests. I really don't need these, but I'd appreciate it if anyone could do this favor for me. Thank's in advance! Patrick SFE
DBru Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 A guy at C-net started a Pokemon park here: http://coaster-net.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9419 Maybe try to get ahold of him?
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted May 13, 2009 Author Posted May 13, 2009 ^Thanks! I'll definitely try to contact him.
netdvn Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Sounds very promising... As a fan of the RPGs, I can't wait to see progress. If you need pics of Pokemon, Bulbapedia is a great place to start. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Main_Page I have a question... Is the park based off a specific continent in the Pokemon universe? If so, which one?
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted May 14, 2009 Author Posted May 14, 2009 ^No. I am basing it off of the "Let's Find Pokemon! Tons of Fun at the Amusement Park" book. I know that there was a real Pokemon theme park in Japan in 2003, but it didn't really last. There is a video on Youtube that shows a park on RCT3 with Wild! That uses Pokemon images as the main signboards for each ride. I wanted to go a step beyond that and make a park with more accurate Pokemon figures. It's actually a very interesting book even though it is a bit "8 year-oldish," but there's some pretty cool stuff in there. They have an Arrow Corkscrew coaster themed to Steelix (that's why I wanted the themed coaster) and they have a whole bunch of random Pokemon standing on the tracks. THAT I don't approve of, but I like the idea of a themed coaster. They also have a Schwartzkoph Shuttle Loop (pretty common in Japan, a few I can think of) with 12 rows that look like cars. I'd make it, but I'd shorten it to 6 cars since there are 2 rows per car. There's also an activity pool, a giant wheel, a pirate ship, a haunted house, a ball pin a weird carousel with all the horses replaced with random Pokemon, a large tree for taking a nap, a small parade, and an aquarium. Actually, this may turn out to be better in RCT3 with all the realistic stuff I could add... But yeah, that's where it comes from and that's what's in it.
