Hey, I'm going to Great Adventure for a day in about 3 weeks, and I've got a few quick questions I'd like to ask everybody:

-Does anybody know why this is?

On the park's calendar, the park is mostly closed on weekdays throughout April, except for one week. Does anybody know if there are any events or anything that week that might be why the park chose to be open then? I think Spring Break ends before that, so that wouldn't be it. Easter is the Sunday before that week, but that doesn't really make sense to me as to why they'd open for that... anybody have any ideas, or is this just when they chose to open?

-How crowded will it be?

Judging off some of the TRs I've seen here, the park should be pretty empty on a Wednesday (I'm probably going the 15th), right? How long should I expect to wait?

-Will any rides be closed?

I know Medusa won't be open yet, but are there any other rides I should expect to be down? Will any coasters likely be running one train?

Anyway, I think that's all. If anybody has any other ideas or recommendations (particularly as to when to go), please share them. Thanks!

In the past, I haven't had the best luck with their phone service, though that's probably changed. I'll give them a call, thanks.

Are schools in New Jersey closed that week? That would be my guess.

Does it really matter why they are open? Just enjoy that they are.

As far as predicting crowds, I won't make a guess because it would be just that, a guess. But generally middle of the week is least crowded.

Spring break for NJ schools is the week after Easter, so that's why it's open that week.

If it's nice out, there could possibly be a decent amount of people there, but nothing scary.

Water rides won't be open, random flats might be closed...I've only seen them run one train on the rides that only have 2 (El Toro, SUF) and one is broken. Even if it's dead they usually run 2. But you never know.
