On Saturday, we went to see Simon's Mum and Dad on their narrow boat in Newark, Nottinghamshire, UK. As it was a nice day, they took us out for a ride! Here are the pictures of our trip!

Hehe, it was a great day out, I really enjoyed myself and I know you did, especially when you were steering.

Oh and that's a REALLY REALLY FLATTERING picture of me at the top. That'll teach me to let you take a pic when I've only just woken up.

LOL! I love all these 'random stuff' photo TRs!!!!

Looks like fun. How was the lock? How long did it take to get the water levels the same and open up? I remember doing one of those on a boat 'in the south' once, but I don't quite remeber where. I was pretty damn young!

Thanks for posting!

Well, on the way out, when the water level dropped, it took about 15 minutes. (we don't have photos of that cos we hadn't done this before and had more things on our minds, like our safety!)

The one in the photos where the water was rising took about 30 minutes because the lock-keeper had the traffic lights on green to enter the lock, but when we got there the gates were closed! We had to reverse like crazy and cling to a wall and wait for the gates to open. I wouldn't like to go through a lock on my own, I don't know how people manage to, especially with a large boat!
