3rdShiftCM Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Hey Guys, We're heading down to WDW on Fri and we'll have some extra time and a babysitter and have considered heading over to the Fun Spot Sky Coaster and I figured you would be the best ones to ask about it. Is it worth the trip? What are the costs? Is there anything else in the general area adult wise, clubs or bars? We're staying at the Contemporary and will have to take a taxi, what do you guys think?
SharkTums Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 (edited) It's really up to you if it's worth it. Old Town is quite the little fun area but there are two credits, the sky coaster, some other random rides, go karts, etc. Some of the shops are interesting and yes there are some restaurants and bars. Would I spend the money to get a taxi, and then go spend more money to do the Sky Coaster and Old Town over more Disney time? Not now, but I've done it all before. If you're into Sky Coasters or credits, yes Old Town should be done once. Aside from the taxi costs, the Sky Coaster is at LEAST about $30 per person. Other than that, everything is pretty much pay per ride type stuff. Edited June 22, 2020 by SharkTums
3rdShiftCM Posted January 23, 2009 Author Posted January 23, 2009 Thank you, Yea, the only reason we would go is that we both love Sky Coasters and with all the parks closing so early and Pleasure Island gone, we'll have some evening time for just the two of us. We considered City Walk but, thats just to far. Thanks again.
SharkTums Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 I would highly recommend heading over to the Boardwalk area of Disney if you want to hang out, have an adult evening, and have some fun! It's a great area with a piano bar, random other bars, a club, sports bar, and just great ambiance! I think with the closing of Pleasure Island you'll see this area really pick up, it's super nice.
