LopBun Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Hi all! Since the first time i've been to the halloween festival at walibi belgium I loved it. It's simply the best one close to where I live. So this year things promised to be handled better and more professionally so I expected a lot. The saying seems true. If you expect to much you'll be disappointed and I kind of was. The last year there was a bit of entertainment in the park with serveral actors running around. The problem this year was that I missed this a bit. Specially after dark settled in I found that the previous years had a lot more actors and random stuff. It seemed like they just upgraded there halloween attractions. Another downside of this "professional" approach was that you had to pay extra for all the halloween attractions. Even tough this year the attractions where better it's still not near as good as i've seen other parks do! I liked the previous years more. There was just more atmoshepere about. Walibi is not my favorite park to be honest. It has some good rides but other then the good rides there are little other rides. For example on the whole left side of the parc you have: Cobra, radja river, turbine, tea-cups, challenge of toetanchamon. That's it on that half of the park! Anyway enough bla bla! Time for pictures Unfortionatly I only have pics of the day halloween attraction and not of the complete park. The park was a bit busy and a lot of time was spend in queues. Hope you like my first TR! And some people say this park doesn't have enough green! I find all feris wheels horror! Halloween ghost train! Somebody forgot a boat. No really this is not theming I think... Major wetness alert... Temprature check... Result: No thank you lets pass on this one! This looks kind of like krusty the clown meets real world. He was nice enough to pose with his friend. The free attraction had ducks of horror! The free "day" halloween attraction. It had clowns. I'm more scared of pinguins then of this specific clown. One of the last pictures of Vertigo. What a waste, didn't even operate for a year I think. Glad I got to ride it before they closed it! I found the start and end of a rainbow in walibi! I didn't get a pot of gold Yuuuck water on a water ride! Let's ignore all safety rules. People who are about to receive a head whooping!
Dragon Khan Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 I really like your nightshots. I seem unable to shoot proper pictures in the dark myself. Welcome to TPR. Oh, by the way, I'm Belgian too... I guess Turbine was closed on your visit ? Too bad there's so much downtime at Walibi's best ride...
Groteslurf Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Yes, some great pictures. One advice : next year, go to the Fright Nights at Walibi World in stead of 'our' Walibi. You won't get disappointed over there
gisco Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 I like the night shots. In fact you should submit the one of Cobra to the TPR Park Index. Just go to the Park Index Page, scroll to the bottom and you will see a link to contribute your picture. I look forward to seeing more PTR from you. Bob
