OK, so this was my second time going this year, and I must say, it was worse the second time around, but I think it was because of the crowds. By the time we left around 8:45, the parking lot was almost completely full. They were so busy we only did 2 mazes and 1 ride.

People: Me, my cousin, my parents

We arrived at around 6:45. Once in we had to choose what to do first of course. We'd done Maze of Madness, Toxic Plague, and Club Blood on our first visit. Blackbeard's Revenge and Blue Ridge Bloodbath didn't open for another 20-30 minutes. Nonetheless, we headed to Old Virginia. The line for Blue Ridge Bloodbath (it still wasn't open of course) was down to the water squirting game (Grizzly Falls?). We decided to do Blackbeard's Revenge first. They were using White Water Canyon's regular que line for part of the maze and line. Most of the line, however, was the Log Flume's switchback. They were using the entire line and it was filling up fast. We jumped in line and began our wait.

BLACKBEARD'S REVENGE:

We waited about an hour for this. I must admit, this is my second-favorite maze I've done so far this year. My parents didn't care for it much, but my cousin and I thought it was great! The scares were ok in this one, but we got unlucky as a young boy was in front of us and the scareactors were going for him. They did get us a couple times though. I loved the guy being hung, kicking like crazy. During one part, a girl was sitting on a fence holding a bottle, and she was like "Want some rum? It's good for everyone." After we were all past her, she dropped the bottle and another scareactor standing a crate said "What, are you trying to kill the people?"

Anyway, I saw Blackbeard at the end, he got in my cousin's face.

Overall, I give Blackbeard's Revenge an 8/10.

After this, we moved on through The Harvest (Old Virginia). I saw very few scareactors. We planned on doing Blood Shed, but the line was down the the KD Theater, so we moved on. We decided to walk through the tunnel across from Blood Shed. There was a strobe light blinking in here, and it felt like you were stepping in time. Wierd. Afterwards, we went through the Carnevil scare zone. This had been my favorite scare zone on our first visit, with the sliders and clowns and all. This time around, it wasn't as good, but I'm sure it was the crowds. Next up was Big Top Terror.

BIG TOP TERROR:

*sigh* This was one of the worst mazes I've ever been in. Awful. We got in line and they had this huge Jack-in-the-Box that went off every couple of minutes, and when it did, rock music played. What the...? Anyway, we got out three dollars (my mom was sitting out of this one). We asked the guy at the start of the line where to get 3D glasses and he said down the line. So as we waited and moved down there, nobody was there. So we moved up to the front of the line after waiting, and saw the guy again. My father got really pissed off, but we bought our glasses and went in. We kept having to stop inside the maze because we couldn't get the glasses to stay on our faces. Anyway, the 3D paintings were cool, I gotta admit, but the scareactors sucked in here. People were screaming like crazy, but I only got scared maybe one time, and it was more of a startle. It ended rather abruptly too. Ah well... I give Big Top Terror a 2/10 for effort.

We moved through Carnevil and headed to VooDoo Swamp. At this point it began to drizzle. We headed through VooDoo Swamp, which, I must say, has sucked both times this year. Last year it was amazing, I was getting scared left and right. And crowds are NOT the reason this has sucked this year. Anyway, my parents got out of the zone and sat down, and my cousin and I walked through the Swamp a couple times. Afterwards, we headed to Dominator, and my cousin and I got in line, but it was full and spilling way out, and we didn't want to wait. So instead, he and I rode Berserker. Fun as always. Finally, we left as it was drizzling and my parents were tired. We hope to go for a third and final time next weekend and do Alien Outpost, Blue Ridge Bloodbath, and Blood Shed.

Here are my maze rankings from both visits:

1. Toxic Plague

2. Blackbeard's Revenge

3. Maze of Madness

4. Club Blood

5. Big Top Terror

Nice TR, I'll be making my final trip to the park for the season this Saturday, I probably won't be doing any of the mazes, just getting final rides in on the coasters, though. I'm not too big into the mazes, especially when the lines are longer then 20-30 minutes...

^Dominator and Volcano have no lines at all. FoF and Hurler were closed when I went though.

Toxic Plague!

I agree that is one of the best Halloween events there.

Dominator and Volcano both had full lines when I went last Saturday.
