XxCelebSwaggaxX Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Does anybody remember that waterslide accident that happened back in 1997? It involved some kids from Napa High or something like that and 33 kids got on 1 slide and it broke and all. Anyone remember?
Angry_Gumball Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 I actually do, the water park is about 20 minutes from me. This happened the same day went to CGA for my 6th grade end of year field trip. Apparently, a group of teens decided to break the school's record of having a chain go down the slide and somehow the lifeguard/attendant didn't catch on or whatever...basically, the slide collapsed from their weight. I remember seeing pictures of the broken slide complex in the next day's paper and kinda freaked me out seeing the slide's first 'pre drop' just end and broken structure below. I'm not sure though if this topic is really in the correct forum, but it's not really my job to dictate that. I just figured I'd give feedback to your question as I live in the bay area. Search around on youtube, you'll see news reports (that will probably tick you off as it claims that rides are dangerous) about this so-called accident.
Erik Johnson Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 I know somebody posted this somewhere else, but I am not sure where. So here it is again. Yes, it is totally those kids fault, not the park's. Just to remind you that when you do post a new topic, please be more descriptive. Additional Comments can be made here: TPR thread on the topic
