Teacups Make Me Sick Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 I need help..... I just found out today that my trip to Hershey this weekend has been cancelled since we cant do the two days (long story and a sore subject). So.... I'm trying to figure out what my group can do. Either go to Great Adventure I'll just buy a q-bot so we don't have to wait on line. Or.... Go to Dorney Park...nobody in my group has been there for at least two years and it is a change of scenery. My question is...does anybody know what the crowds are like on a Sunday in August at either of these parks? (We usually try to avoid going to parks this time of the year but we promised my nephew to take him out.) Also, does Dorney have a q-bot or some type of fast pass thingy? Thanks!
Groteslurf Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Hi, never been there in August, but I don't think Dorney as any express pass system in operation. The waterpark at Dorney is nice and if the weather is going to be good, you can have a fun day at Dorney and waterpark. Great Adventure has the better rides of course and if you're not into waterparks, I would go for SFGAdv.
larrygator Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Lines were not bad last Sunday morning, but I think that is because the impending rain kept many people away. August is usually terrible for crowds. Does your nephew like the beach? Would you consider Morey Piers?
Teacups Make Me Sick Posted August 13, 2008 Author Posted August 13, 2008 ^We live in Northern NJ so a drive to Moreys would be like driving to Hershey...both are about 3 hours w. no traffic. Dorney and GA are about an hour and a half drive each. Where did you go on Sunday, Dorney or GA?
larrygator Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 ^I was at SFGAdv, sorry for the lack of clarity. For some reason I thought you were in South Jersey.
