ajinaz Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 Hoping someone can help me out. I'm a teacher setting up a bulletin board for the start of the year that is outside my classroom. The board is about 6 X 3. What I was going to do was draw a wooden coaster that runs across the board. I'm terrible at drawing but I think I can do this easily with a yardstick and a Sharpie. At the top of the board It will say "Welcome To Another Thrilling Year!" What I'm looking for is a very plain roller coaster car that I can easily cut out and put a student's name on and then put all the cars along the track that I drew. I know it won't look realistic with 30 cars on the track at once. I'm simply trying to convey a message. I did look on Google images but I didn't find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
haux Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 Hmm. Maybe these can help. I imagine you can copy and paste a few of the cars together to create a train. http://media.nasaexplores.com/lessons/02-046/images/roller2.jpg http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/roller-coaster-24.jpg http://farm1.static.flickr.com/43/82363790_073f2c818a.jpg?v=0 If you've got NoLimits, you can just get a screenshot of a train from that.
ajinaz Posted August 2, 2008 Author Posted August 2, 2008 Thanks for those links but I'm looking for something plainer than that. I'll just be printing them out on colored paper and cutting them out. I'll then write one student's name on each car and place it on the track. I'll attach a photo of a car that shows what I'm looking for. I know you might be thinking I could draw something like this but you have not seen me draw! Like this but a woodie coaster car
WillMontu Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 Is this the sort of thing you want? I whipped it up in Inkscape and I can adjust the shape, color, etc. quite easily. I used vector software, so I can make much higher resolution versions Two bench PTC car with ratcheting lap bars and no head rests
ajinaz Posted August 2, 2008 Author Posted August 2, 2008 I think this will work perfectly. Here is what I'm planning on doing. Thanks!
WillMontu Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Higher resolution version, and also adjusted the chassis a little. Maybe you can get pictures of students to use as "riders"
