BlibBlab Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 For a while now i've been thinking about trying to get a trip over to Florida to hit up Disney. As not working and being a standard poor UK student money has been a bit of an issue. I have been thinking of disney hotels to see if the benefits would be worth the extra cost. Things that caught my eye however were the Boat rentals and the Bike rentals which i think would be an awesome way to get to look around the resorts grounds and have a bit of a relaxed day. Does anyone know if you have to be in a Disney hotel to do these activities. I haven't found anywhere on the Disney site or other sites which says that you have to, but I don't want to turn up and just have a CM turn me away. I also saw somewhere about a Segway tour around the Fort Wilderness area. Is this a resort only feature as well and has anyone done it???
HHN Dylan Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 *At WDW right now. Well if your looking for a relaxed day, of course it depends on your resort of choice. I'm not sure about the whole bike thing. I'm not sure what boat your even talking about. But if your looking for a relaxing yet you still want to see the sights I recommend just researching what your hotel of choice has to offer. Then again if its your first time at WDW I highly doubt your going to want to do anything but the parks . Good luck and hopefully your trip is a sucsess.
SharkTums Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 Many of the resorts offer boat and/or bike rentals. I know in the Boardwalk area you do NOT have to be a guest at one of the hotels. A lot of the boats sell out though, so make sure to call ahead to make a reservation.
BlibBlab Posted July 21, 2008 Author Posted July 21, 2008 Thanks both of you... The boats I was referring to Dylan were these little power boats. Nothing special but I thought they would be a good laugh Here have a link of an image... http://www.arondaparks.com/images/boating1.jpg and then as I’m so good to you, have a nice picture someone took with some monorail love. Yey http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2163/1715893749_f031f1ec72.jpg?v=0 Thanks Elissa, and while I’ve hopefully got your attention, as you and Robb do quite a bit of travelling. Do you have a certain site or company you use for all your international flights? I’ve been looking around but if there’s anywhere in particular that you know of that does good deals I might of missed id be extremely grateful.
SharkTums Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 99% of the time we book DIRECT with the airlines on their site. That way you have the best chance of getting 'not screwed' with all the crazy airline business that's been going on. And all but ONE time in the last 5 years of us doing international trips it's also been the cheapest!
