slither37 Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 I am thinking about taking a trip to BGE in October with my 10 year old. We are going for the coasters/rides and both are not really into the whole Halloween schtick. I know at KI, you can not avoid the horror themed areas. At CP you can somewhat avoid/go around these areas. My question: Is BGE more like KI where you can not avoid the horror areas or more like CP where you can go around these areas? Going to go Oct 17-19, probably hit KD on the way home with our CF passes for a few rides on Dominator. Thanks in advance for your help. ADMIN EDIT: Changed the title slightly, to get you some more help on this. ~Matt
cfc Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 BGE does have Howl-o-Scream decorations throughout the park (for example, pirate skeletons in England, ghosts and ghouls hanging in the trees, evil clowns in Festa Italia), but they're not the super gory ones you might see at other parks. The scare zones don't get going before 6:00 p.m., so you should be OK before then (some of the mazes open in midafternoon on Saturdays, though). Last year, the scare zones were located in Festa Italia (evil carnival), on the far side of the Big Bad Wolf ("The Beaten Path," which is easy to avoid), and on the path between France and Ireland (werewolves and walking bushes).
