Hersheypark Goes Mobile

I just recently got an email from the park with a link for a new site that Hersheypark plans to use. Hersheypark Mobile is a special site for guests to use at the park (and for us theme park fanatics at home) to find out which rides are closed, entertainment showtimes, and tips on when to ride the park's top rides. IMO the site could use a little more work and Fahrenheit still needs to be added to the top rides list.

I think this would be a cool feature to use if the guests know about it and want to use it, so I guess the park has Wi-Fi?

I just don't find this convenient at all. Not only would I have to pay over $1 to access the internet (without a plan), but it would also take me forever to get on the site and find what I need.

Sounds like a great idea to me. The site is meant for your phone. That is why it looks so crappy on your computer. Its not like people will be walking around the park with their laptop. They dont need to have WiFi.

 

And with most people going to a "smartphone", the internet on the cell phone is becoming more and more popular. Most smart phones/PDA's require you to purchase the media plan which gives you the internet. I know mine did. I will be using this site in the future now.
