Decent parks around Independence KS

Hey all! Me and my family were living in Joplin MO; we had season passes to Silver Dollar City, but I got a better job in Independence KS, now SDC is too far away for a day trip. Other than Worlds of Fun does anyone know of any good parks that would be good for day trips?

There's nothing in Kansas. The theme park near Wichita closed down a year ago.

 

But seriously. Are you kidding?

 

I guess if you're willing to travel a little bit, there's Worlds Of Fun in Kansas City, and Frontier City in Oklahoma City. And Silver Dollar City is just a couple hours from Independence.

Lol. I was just trying to emphasize the point that there isn't anything to do in Kansas.

there's nothing to do in KS we just went to WOF last weekend, not a bad trip, but I forgot how old the park is getting; so I took a job in FL somewhere around the Orlando area, I need to check what kinds of parks are down there
