griz Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 We're heading to Universal Orlando tomorrow for my sons' birthday celebration. The forecast is for fair weather at best, which I don't mind at all...crowd control and all that...heh. But one thing does concern me. Winds are supposed to be around 25 MPH most of the day. Is there a chance they'll close the outdoor coasters? Is there a general guideline for max wind speeds? Anything specific for Universal Orlando? Thanks for your help.
Carnage Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 25 mph doesn't sount TOO bad. Although I wouldn't know specifically how USO's rides would handle it. I'd imagine they'd all be fine though. The wind direction is as imporant as wind speed when it comes to most coasters.
sfotkid Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 Meh, I think they will be ok. Its just that high winds slow the rides down alot and they would valley somewhere.
BarryH Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Jaws' fire effect may be turned off if winds are too high.
