If you don't like boring dribble and ranting don't bother reading

Got to the park around... 10:30- 11:00 NO LINES whatsoever headed straight to the gate (thank you reactivated season passes ).

I understand the park wants to make money off pictures but having 20 photographers EACH asking if you want a picture right after they saw you turn one down... that may not be the best way of doing business. I felt like Six Flags turned into a used car dealership.

First up Goliath. A DOLLAR MANDATORY ride lockers are you KIDDING ME. That had so many people pissed off i'm not even kidding. The bonus no one wanted to ride it it seamed so lines were very very short. Get in line for the last row... restraints issues judging by what the mechanics and shift leads were looking at under the trains I can only assume the sensors weren't lining up but I may be wrong. This is where I saw Coreyml just didn't realize it was him until I read his TR. Waited a good thirty minutes and gave up.

Went to Batman. Would have gotten in line for the last row or even the second too last row but nooooo Mr. human segregation himself flashpass had those two lines blocked off. One train operations just like everything else in the park except for Goliath. Got on the ride and honestly had one of the best Batman runs i've ever been on get back into the station and the restraints wouldn't unlock. Lets review... Goliath broken down. Batman- Stuck in the station for a good 20 minutes. Mechanics showed up and realized.. hmm OH! The train wasn't all the way in the station .

Next up I headed to Mindbender. First thing I noticed aside from the very nice brand new paint job, was that they had decided to leave the ponds and fountains empty due to the drought. Had a three train wait on that and once again had one of my best rides. While in line I noticed 4 TPRers filming and taking pictures, but I didn't bother to introduce myself.

Next up SUPERMAN THAT HO! (this is what I got to here in the ride station thanks to the awesome wannabe gang members riding). Shortest line i've ever seen for superman once again they had lockers but they were letting people put stuff in the station. Rode in the last row, they had 5-6 issues with ankle restraints while I was there.

NINJA! I for somereason LOVE this ride... god knows why. Those restraints are so short it absolutely KILLS my collarbone everytime but I still ride. No surprise that the only other row occupied than mine (second to last) was the front.

The Great American Scream Machine- What to say about GASM... Rode with my father lol he rode with the impression that sense it was older it wouldn't hurt, I cautioned otherwise but...

We get half way down the first drop and he turns to me and goes "i just threw my back out" to which I replied well you better hold the hell on because it's about to get FAR worse. I was unfortunately right. That ride sent me flying around our car harder than a cheap hooker. I could see this ride being amazing decades ago, but why people still swear by it today I just don't understand.

Up next one of my personal favorite rides of any park ever. ACROPHOBIA! No line... (I guess people don't like the thought of getting their legs cut off... although i've never seen Acrophobia I choose to believe that incident has made things worse). AMAZING as always. Painful as always. Worth it as always.

Georgia Scorcher, I love that ride. Waited three trains for the front row. What I couldn't help to notice was how DUMB people are. "Restraints now locked" right after this I clearly see this man get in the train and before situating himself around the "seat" he pulls down on the OTSR all the way and pins himself... It looked so ridiculous it took everything I had to not laugh. It was running great. It was at this ride I noticed a few "VIP" purchasers. While I could almost see spending 250 dollars a ticket for this during the summer months... never would I do it on opening day. But hey... it's their money...

Georgia Cyclone... I knew I should just stay away but I couldn't. Back row.. one train wait.

Sore throat and possibly extremely bruised thigh (haven't looked yet).

Monster Plantation cracks me up as always. No one else was in line. Right in the boat we went. I've always thought it was the worst ride ever. However ... I love it. I appreciate the fact that it was build by hand and I mean when you think about it in terms of context it really is a great way to avoid the heat and just take a breather.

Last ride of the day Goliath second to last row. No line at all (get rid of the expensive lockers! hint! hint!) Goliath is quite arguably the greatest air time machine of all time!!! Awesome way to end the day.

As we headed out of the park I got my self a fresh from the fryer Funnel Cake They loaded on the powdered sugar. As long as it tastes that good I do no mind the six dollar fee!

Few positive things I noticed throughout the day.

Employees were overall amazing for mostly being new. When in line for broken down goliath the attendant carried on conversations with the guests. Telling me about how she got to ride it a ton last night to which I replied "ya... I haven't gotten to ride it yet this year...". The acrophobia ride ops always great with their little antics. Superman crew aside from the seat issues they were moving very quickly with one train operations. GASM crew... there must have been 5 people on the platform two of which actually were doing things. Mindbender. Two attendants. The ride op was running back and forth from checking restraints to dispatching the ride. Loved the hustle.

Cyclone ride operator was by far the friendliest employee I came across all day. Enjoying his job and having a good time with the guests. My quote of the day. "now before we board look at the row in front of you... Sit one row back from that! Lets take a minute to let this sink in... ... ..." *gates open* People in front of me COMPLETELY confused as to which row they were supposed to go in. The ride ops face was PRICELESS. I was entertained.

It seamed as if though the Three Point Challenge is going to be a very big hit. All day I saw a small crowd around it. My dad found it entertaining.

Only suggestions are ... there seemed to be a lot of maintenance issues which is too be expected but still maybe a little more testing.

Also at least 6 times during the day I was asked by a ride op for the time. Maybe put clocks in the ride stations so that the ride ops can do their paperwork.

BRING BACK DEJA VU. I saw thomas town construction and almost cried. It looks like such a pathetic waste of land where such an awesome (money guzzling) ride could be sitting

All in all a very good day at SFOG.
