Sasquatch Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Basically, i took parts of 'Old Arrow' (crappy straight-line banking, crappy out-of-station turn, crappy too-fast transitions) and mixed them with bits of 'New Arrow' (smooth turns, re-designed loop and turn supports, new loop shape, higher g-forces) in a New Wave version of the good ol' Loop & Corkscrew, a model that has been loved, hated, vomited over, and everything in between. No elementary or anything used here, the only pre-fab track is the double corkscrew, which are IMPOSSIBLE to make good by hand. Enjoy! EDIT: Banking is supposed to be badly calculated, true to Arrow's business model, the Coathanger. That isn't just a cop-out for bad designing, i do actually do smooth coasters too =] Arrow Looping.zip Contains various shot of the ride, for non-NL owners ArrowLooping.nltrack Well, here ya go.....
EuroTre Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 That's actually really cool. A great recreation of a loop screw with just a little variation. I love Arrow, so I really like this coaster. Excellent job!
Steffen_Dk Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 What a nice classical coaster The only problem I had, was that the track in the loop was too close to each other..
Théo the little french Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 That was very small but it was pretty funny!
Sasquatch Posted February 3, 2008 Author Posted February 3, 2008 If you look at other arrow loopers (such as Loch Ness Monster) you will find that the entry and exit of the loop is very very close. Arrow are able to do this because their standard trains keep you very much contained within the car, so there's no worry about chopped off arms lol
