89James89 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Hi everyone and welcome to the official source of news around the newest park to hit the world Cliffside Amusements! This park is hopefully gonna become really big and well known but we all have to start somewhere. Luckily for you lot (especially construction picture junkies) we literally are gonna be covering it from the ground up. Just so you know I'm Carl Halret and have the brilliant job of being the parks public relations official with unlimited access to anywhere on site so expect a lot of pictures from me. First visit was yesterday when I received a e-mail form my boss Mr Peffrey saying that he was ready for the park to go public and that if I wasn't busy could I come and take some pictures of the construction so far. I of course didn't refuse and made my way to the park (*cough* construction site *cough*) early this morning. Well it was different to what I expected firstly there was hardly any evidence that a park was under construction their and secondly apart form the small wood they were building the entrance on the edge of there was very little vegetation on the top of the cliff. Oh well I thought to myself it'll save money on tree removal and carried on anyway. Right here are the pics: 1st construction season Initial construction pics: (real date: 16-1) This is the entrance building going up and ticket offices can also be seen partly built. Hard hats on everyone lots of machinery around: And a pic from the back. The building isn't massive but it'll serve its purpose: Locker building on the right after the entrance: First shop on the left hand side: Overview of construction: And finally a overview of the space we have and don't worry a e-mail I received a few moments ago confirmed that the landscaping team are going to plant more trees: Right there you go. The first view at this new and hopefully exciting park. Comments so far would be great though I know theres not really that much there so far. Until next time! Carl Harlet (Cliffside amusements PR manager) (OOC: CS used so far (I think this is all of it): Shy guys sets Stucco walls set Stucco roof set Vodhins Vermont lights Klins Framework Aces construction set (I think its his) )
Steffen_Dk Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 This looks interesting... Your building(s) look pretty good and from what I can see from the construction pics, the future buildings will be good as well.. But I find the water edge too "squared" - make them more smooth!
Kingbooba Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Woah! That's pretty good! I can't wait for more!
socalMAN123 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Looks good so far. I like the entrance building. You should totally make a boardwalk out into the water or a couple coasters that jut off the edge of the cliffs. Great park, can't wait for more! ---Brent
