coasterdude28 Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 http://www.NoLimitsDevCenter.net/p3827 Gwardar is a huge Gravity Group wooden coaster. It recieves its name from an extremely dangerous snake known as the Gwardar Brown Snake. It is one of the deadliest in the world. That should give you an idea of what this coaster is like. I am hoping to have this coaster be a true Gravity Group ride. I would like to add tunnels to some great areas, but no promises as my 3D's skills are sup-par. I will continue to update as I make progess. Comments are appreciated. http://www.NoLimitsDevCenter.net/p3827
Théo the little french Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 This looks really cool! I can't wait to ride it (on NL, it must be scary in true lol).
coasterdude28 Posted November 11, 2007 Author Posted November 11, 2007 Thank you. I have started work on the supports. Because of the terrain, I will have to do all wide supports by hand, which I have never done before. So this may take a while. I'll keep you updated though.
coasterdude28 Posted November 13, 2007 Author Posted November 13, 2007 Just quick update. I have started work on the wide supports, and it is going slowly. I Have about 1/3 of the lift done. I will try to add some pictures later in the week.
Théo the little french Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Good luck! I hate making myself the supports! This is so borring and it's when you wotk on the supports that you have great idea about layouts lol
coasterdude28 Posted November 16, 2007 Author Posted November 16, 2007 I have completed the supports for the lift hill and first drop. This was my first attempt at custom supports on a wooden coaster, and I am pleased with the results thus far. I am now working on the next hill. Updated pictures can be found on the NLDC page. Note that the colors are not yet final. http://www.NoLimitsDevCenter.net/p3827
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 Now is this entirely hand supported or are you just doing customs that auto support wont cover?
coasterdude28 Posted November 17, 2007 Author Posted November 17, 2007 I used the auto supporter for the simple structure under the track. I am hand supporting everything else. All wide supports and lateral supports are hand made.
